The "Fünf-Seidla-Steig" is a hiking trail which connects five franconian breweries (Seidla = half a liter of beer). You can do a 20 km round trip or walk one way (10km).
If you want to do the round trip, your starting point is at the train station in "Weißenohe" R21. The first brewery is located in the centre of "Weißenohe" which is only about 300 meters away from the train station. Just follow the church spire and you'll find the brewery in the courtyard of an old abbey. Continue your hike by following the "Frankenweg" sign. It will guide you all the way along to "Thuisbrunn". The sign for your way back to "Weißenohe" R21 is the "Fünf-Seidla-Steig" emblem (see map).
If you want to do the one-way-trip, start your hike in "Thuisbrunn". Go to "Gräfenberg" by train R21, then change to bus 229. Get off at "Thuisbrunn" and walk down the main road. The first brewery "Gasthof Seitz - Elch Bräu" is right ahead. Continue your hike by following the "Frankenweg" sign back to "Weißenohe" R21.
